Channel Island Marine Life  by Sue Daly

Crustaceans

Apart from fish, crustaceans are probably the most familiar and easily-recognised of all marine creatures.  They are soft-bodied animals living in a hard outer shell like a suit of armour and have jointed legs, obvious body parts and distinct eyes, often on stalks.  They have well-developed sensory and nervous systems to cope with their complex lives of hunting, hiding and mating.
